Description
The JPL2412SB is a miniature single-adjusting jacking plate developed for smaller tiller type outboard clamp-on style engine designs. It is capable of vertically lifting outboard 3” with an offset of 5” from transom. The engine side is 2'' higher than the transom so you can get a total of 5'' of lift if you lift the unit's adjustment to Maximum height. If you want to stay the same height when you install, simply mount the unit a little lower on your transom. The unique ability to adjust vertically sets this unit apart from other style plates. The jack plate has a footprint of 12” Wide x 8” Length with a 1-1/4” thick clamping surface for all clamp on style outboard engines. With a weight of only 13 lbs the JPL2412SB is capable of handling 0 to 40 HP motors. If your engine is the standard bolt pattern, this unit will not work for your engine.

Please contact Vance Manufacturing for help if your engine is 40 HP & below and your engine has this standard bolt pattern listed below in inches:

  • Pre-drilled holes for 1/2'' stainless hardware
  • 12 7/8'' across the top two holes from center to center
  • 9 7/8'' across the bottom two holes from center to center
  • 8'' of vertical distance between the top holes and bottom mounting holes
 

The JPL2412SB is constructed of high-strength aircraft quality aluminum and non-rusting hardware consisting of stainless steel, brass, and bearing bronze. The mounting surface plate is made of space-age polymer material known as Starboard which is stronger than marine grade plywood yet will never deteriorate. Starboard will not absorb water therefore it is not subject to rupture from freezing.

Not sure what size thickness clamping plate you need? Measure the minimum distance your outboard engine will clamp and then round up to the nearest inch so you have enough for clamping your engine onto your new Vance Mini Jack Plate. We offer these units with 1 inch, 2 inch, and 3 inch thick mounting plates.

    Very well machined and finished. Quality product. The only issue that I have is that the predrilled holes did not match my Mercury outboard mounting bolts. When I drilled the plate, the holes were very close to the predrilled holes. Would be better if there were no predrilled holes.

    So I stumbled apond this product on YouTube and after viewing the product I was unsure because the person was not very adequate about the product. I was definitely interested because it was a good looking product. I found out the name brand of the Jackplate and was on the hunt for more information. I was impressed with the options that I found but still very insecure about purchasing anything. I took measurements and I made sure I had everything in line as far as what I needed for hardware and purchased it and was excited to see the quality of this product. I received the Jakeplate was delivered on time and packaging was excellent. Thank you very much for taking care of me and I look forward to continuing purchasing more products from this company. The only this I could say negative is that u wish I would have gotten a sticker to put on my jon boat to show people who made this great product for me. Thanks again to all your team!

    Recieved the jackplate quickly. Upon inspection I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the product. I noticed that bolts provided were shorter that ordered but when I called them up they were quick to send out the correct size to me no questions asked. The only things that may make it better would possibly provide a template for mounting and possibly make the mounting surface a little thicker as my motor clamps stopped well before making a connection. Maybe offer a piece of that starboard material that is cut to width to go along with install of clamp on motors. Overall a great product highly recommend.
