If you have a 90HP - 400HP short shaft engine and a long shaft transom and need to lower your engine, this is the product for your setup! The DDPL-001 Can lower your engine up to 5 inches. This unit is not adjustable, there are multiple holes on the engine and transom side so that you can obtain the correct height while you are installing the engine. If you must adjust after initial installation you will have to remove the engine and move to the desired mounting hole set. This unit is variable setback meaning if you order it with 8 inches of setback and later decide you need 10 inches of setback for clearance issues you may be having, just let us know and we have the extension parts available to you can extend it further out without having to return the unit you have. Before ordering this unit, keep in mind that lowering an engine may cause issues with the engine head hitting the transom when you want to tilt up or hydraulic steering lines/cables may hit the transom. The more setback you have, the less of a possibility you will have clearance issues. This unit is available in a 8'', 10'', 12'' setback.
