The JPL2712SB is a miniature single-adjusting jacking plate developed for smaller tiller type outboard clamp-on engine designs. It is capable of vertically lifting outboard 3” with an offset of 7” from transom. The engine side of the jack plate is 2'' higher than the transom so you can achieve a 5'' lift overall at maximum height if you adjust the unit all the way up. The unique ability to adjust vertically sets this unit apart from other style plates. The jack plate has a footprint of 12” Wide x 8” Length with a 1-1/4” thick clamping surface for all clamp on style outboard engines. With a weight of only 14 lbs the JPL2712SB is capable of handling engines up to 40 HP.

The JPL2712SB is constructed of high-strength aircraft quality aluminum and non-rusting hardware consisting of stainless steel, brass, and bearing bronze. The mounting surface plate is made of space-age polymer material known as Starboard which is stronger than marine grade plywood yet will never deteriorate. Starboard will not absorb water therefore it is not subject to rupture from freezing.

7" setback plate with Yamaha 25

Posted by Chris Shoemaker on 8th Nov 2021

I had a few questions regarding fitment of my engine (98 Yamaha 25 2 stroke) onto my 16' boat and addressing some ventilation problems after rebuilding my transom. Vance helped me throughout the entire process of picking out a jack plate (I really wanted the 5" but they insisted that Yamaha users had issues with it due to clamp bolt length so I went with the 7"). I got it installed and after a few trips I was able to get the height perfectly dialed for situations where I'm by myself or with my kids and then I found the best all around setting and I couldn't be happier. My ONLY suggestion would be to add measurements on the sides where the slide slots are...excellent products, great prices, and insanely good customer service 10/10. Thanks again.

    Best of the best

Want a jackplate for the gheenoe? Vance is the place. Where else would a company suggest a prospective customer call prior to ordering on-line to make sure the customer is ordering the correct item? Where else can a prospective customer talk to the folks that design and manufacture the jackplate? Where else would a prospective customer know his motor is more suited to a 7", not 5" jackplate offset? VANCE, VANCE, VANCE! Amazingly helpful. THEN comes the install. Pretty straight forward 30 minutes, ross perot measure twice drill once, and the deal is strong and secure....THEN comes the performance.....adjustable 5" up/down is a great range for an F25 Yamaha and man it makes a difference on running skinny, speed and better hole-shot...As you can tell more than satisfied and restores out faith in the great people of TN and buying American!!!!!!!!!!

On my 6 mt jon with a Honda 20 hp (by far too small, due to local limitations) this jack plate solved all my prop ventilation problems. 100% satisfied.
